Bob is a long-time ultra runner that has just completed his 25th Avalon 50 Mile Benefit Run, this January,with a time of 13:08:11.
Bob is in retail sales and resides in Bakersfield, Ca. He has 2 sons, 2 daughters, and a few grandchildren. In his years of ultra running he has participated in numerous races held on Catalina Island, ran the Western States 100K, and in 2009 came in as the 1st male finisher for the King of the Hill 10K, held in Kern County.
He is described by fellow runners as an ambassador, "he knows everyone and will introduce you to great people at any race," says Avalon 50 runner Brad Norris.

Avalon Recap
The Avalon 50 Mile Benefit Run was held Sat, Jan 16th on Catalina Island. In it's 29th year, the run had a total of 16 finishers between the ages of 60-78. Runners as young as 20 to as old as 78 years of age participated this year. There was over 200 runners in this year's race, a majority of the ultra runners were returning participants. Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K
Come join the celebration this Sunday, Feb 7th, in Redondo Beach. Participants can register on Saturday or Sunday. Each participant receives a free shirt and 2 complementary BEERS, complements of Asahi. Come partake in a healthy, entertaining and picturesque event prior to enjoying America's Classic-Super Bowl XLIV! Make sure to dress-up to take part in the costume contest. Northern Trust Open
For some of you that didn't hear- Mike Bone, owner of Spectrum Sports Management, is the Northern Trust Open General Manager. Mike has been working closely with Northern Trust Open Executive Director and "Laker Great," Jerry West. To view the tournament make sure to tune into NBC; 1pm-3pm on Saturday and 1:30pm-3pm on Sunday.
