April Update Slogo09
Dear SInta,

Spring season is officially here and we have three amazing races that have just recently opened registration! So check them out and register for the race or races that fit you and your family best!

Choose from: (3) 5K's, (2) Kid's Runs, a 10K and a Trail Marathon.
Train hard!

Avalon Bay
Trail running can reveal amazing views that can sometimes block out the pain of a challenging course. The Catalina Eco Marathon takes and doubles both of these elements; the views from the Southern California island are breathtaking while the course's dramatic Catalina Trail Runnerelevation changes make the run a personal challenge. Today is your chance to get an early-bird discount on the entry fee for the 2010 Catalina Eco Marathon.

Sign-up today with PROMO CODE: ERLY to get a $10 discount on the marathon entry fee.
(exp. 5/1/10)

There is also the very popular 10K & 5K course that mixes a bit of dirt trails and city streets of Avalon (showcasing historical landmarks & ocean views). If you participated in any of last year's Catlaina Eco Marathon races let us know what your favorite part of the event was!  >
Name That Hill!

Following the '09 race, we decided to let our runners come up with the name of the grueling hill at mile 19.

We had over 45 names (and 1 poem) submitted but only one name was chosen. Trail runnerCongratulations to Jon Clark for offering up the winning name- "Catalina Crush!" Jon won a free entry into this year's race.

So take the challenge this year, conquer Catalina Crush, take in the beautiful weather and breath-taking views, and earn yourself a Buffalo Finishing Medal!

See you on the on the trails!
